This is a very nice vintage Lyle W-470-12 Hummingbird 12-string acoustic guitar, serial #011540. Dating from early ‘75, this guitar comes in its original Gibson case, and includes bill of sale (dated 5/28/75) as well as the original store price tag. Long time Bourgeois endorser Keith Sewell is a busy man. You might have seen him with any number of great acts including Ricky Skaggs, The Dixie Chicks, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas or Earl Scruggs. Most recently he has played mandolin and acoustic guitar for Lyle Lovett and His Large band. You can also hear him on Sam Bush’s “Laps in Seven” and on the Jerry Douglas CD, “Best Kept Secret”.

Keith put his first solo CD out on Skaggs Family Records. “Love is a Journey” is 12 original songs and includes guest appearances by Jerry Douglas and Sam Bush as well as Ricky Skaggs, Andy Leftwich, Byron House and others.

“The Way of a Wanderer” follows his highly praised first album and showcases his wonderful song writing. The record features Keith on Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Fiddle along with Rob Ikes on Dobro, Fiddle master Luke Bulla, and Wallflowers drummer Fred Eltringham on Percussion.

Keith has a few Bourgeois guitars right now. He plays a Country Boy Deluxe, a Slope D Burst in Sitka and Mahogany and a Brazilian Vintage D.
